Put on that Hat

Should Christian women today wear head-coverings? Should Christian women be submissive today?A tradition may be good, bad, or indifferent. Apparently Paul was asked in today's passage if women should wear, or not wear, head-coverings. Perhaps some within the church were setting the tradition aside in the name of personal liberty. Perhaps others thought it was not good. The answer to the question about head coverings is, at least in part, a question about the authority structure in the world and specifically the relationship between men and women. Although the issue of dress, attire, and head coverings do have significance, the more important issue is understanding how God created the world and how traditions and dress support or undermine God's created order.
