Love is Essential

Misconceptions about love are prevalent in today's culture. Wrong ideas about love are projected everywhere. Love is often portrayed as either a whimsically romantic emotion or a burning sexual passion. Love does include feelings...but love is greater than our emotions! Love does include desires, but love is much more than raw passion. Love is a choice as well as an action. Love is doing what is good for the other person regardless of how you feel. Love is doing the right and best thing for someone no matter how high the price. Jesus laid down his life for us while we were yet sinners in order that we might be reconciled to God.
