Even within Christian churches there are those who would appear to serve God, to call on the Name of Jesus, and would be seen as leaders in the church. Yet they may be among those to whom Jesus will say, “Depart from Me. I never knew you.” (Matthew 7:23) These words are directed toward individuals who, in their own mind, and in the eyes of others, are serving God. Yet their service for God is unacceptable to God. Furthermore, they are headed for disaster.

        This what Jude says, and this is our message for today. It is bad to serve God in the wrong way.
