Title: Renewal in Progress
Text: Colossians 3:5-11
Location: Canaan Community Church Deer Island Oregon
Website: canaanbiblechurch.com
When we focus on Christ, when we seek Christ, think Christ, hope Christ, then we will live Christ. And living Christ is all about how we relate to other people. First we are saved, then we grow; As we grow we increasingly focus on Christ and lay aside the sinfulness that produces wrath from God. Instead, we live Christ which is demonstrated in how we view and treat other people.
Spiritual growth requires the work of God, the submission of each of us and the mutual investment in one another's life. Spiritual growth, ironically has to do not with what is in heaven, but what is on earth awaiting for heaven. It is really bringing our earthly lives into conformity to the reality of who we are in Christ where our real life is hidden.
