Submission is a Christian Norm

Rebellion arises from the desires of the flesh.
SUBMISSION comes from the work of the Spirit.
 Rebellion comes naturally. SUBMISSION comes with  intentional purpose and effort.
Rebellion is one of those sins we often minimize. Do we really not believe the explanation God gave to king Saul for rejecting him as king? "For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry..." (1 Sam. 15:23) Wow! God associates rebellion with idolatry! God has always desired for His people to be in SUBMISSION. We find in today's text that SUBMISSION is to be the Christian norm, not the exception. 1 Peter 2:13
