Focused Time

Greeting Brothers and Sisters,

Just a few suggestions for tomorrow, which would be the day that we normally would have have an Easter service. Services at Canaan continue to be canceled but that does not mean that we cannot worship God and even serve one another.

I encourage those who are so inclined to connect with a good Bible teaching church that is live streaming their service. Doing so may provide some sense of connected-ness and participating with others.

Here are some ideas for taking some focused time in your own home:
  • Sing some hymns; Here is a website that has the words and the music (piano or guitar). Hymnal.net. You do not need high speed internet. Here are some suggestions.
  • Prayer of Thanksgiving -
    • Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13)
    • Thank God for your many blessings – for who He is – For what He has done, etc.
    • Prayer of Intercession
      • Pray for each one present
      • Pray for two other families in the church
      • Pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-8)
These are just some idea that I hope may be helpful to some.
Jesus Lives – by God's grace through Jesus we too have eternal life.
May God bless you abundantly,

Pastor Jeff
