We are so thankful for the
new church sign on Canaan Road.
The old wooden sign had become rotten and faded after 20 years. It had been needing
attention for quite awhile. The completely new sign is already gaining notice
and mention in the community thanks to the time and effort of a faithful couple
in the church.
Other projects have also been silently
coming together in the last year. The arrival of the chilly season is a
reminder that last year at this time the temperature in the church was
controlled by a wood stove and noisy space heater. The nearly silent the new
heating system and attic insulation installed this summer are a great
improvement. We stay warm and can focus our attention on the Word of God
without distraction from the intermittent noisy heater.
Canaan
Church is purposefully focused on reaching
people for the Lord to make disciples. Many people faithfully serve, often
without notice, to make this Church and its ministries possible. Each and every
person is necessary - printing bulletins, teaching Sunday school classes,
inviting neighbors, playing the piano, planning events, etc – each part makes a
contribution. We thank you for the things you do in the service of the Lord
Jesus at Canaan Community
Church.
